Whenever I look at an artist’s new work, I wonder, how did they do it? When was it done? At times I want to know more. This page will have the date/s of these paintings. Sometime, I might showcase the order of how I worked, other times. if I am lucky you may see a painting poured without anything being done to it. And some paintings may just have the date. Art work and writing in process..not finished but I am tired.

November 2025. I think this is on Yupo 6x6. And it is done mostly with Kamenskaya ink which I try out every so often. The white in the painting is done with Ranger Snow Cap. and the Pink is also by Ranger. This was just a practice piece, so to speak.

My website Leap4artNYC and Tommy B. McDonell is a work in process and progress. Those of you who have read my sections, and then found these sections either moved, edited, or deleted may like or dislike the changes. On the other hand, I watch more grey go in and out of my hair. I swear at Squarespace Or I swear at the fact that I am not paying attention to things I used to know.

Thus, please note, I continue to work on this. While the website may say Portfolio, I want those who view my work and read my writing to feel that I have chosen to make this a presentation. So far, I have not done what museums do. You have not seen my very early work. (Yikes). We will see what will come.

I may repeat myself as I get lost in my own website. Stay tuned. I can only improve.

January 1, 2025 - July 2025

January through July represented a time period of “Yikes!” I decided to sell my house and move. When I decided to pack my paints and such, I did what I always did. “Oh I won’t need to do xy or Z for awhile”, and I would pack the very thing that I then decided I wanted to do! This is always the way.

I moved I think in April or such. I didn’t have many shows, except the Judged show at the Artist League of the Sandhills, which takes place in June. I was lucky to have work that I had done. After June, I painted a little bit.
